Clinical Case Manager, Intensive Family Empowerment Program
As a Clinical Case Manager in the Intensive Family Empowerment Program, you will provide six to nine months of intensive services to families whose children are either at risk of being removed from their homes or are already in placement. The goals of the program are to prevent out-of-home placement for troubled children, provide a safe environment to return children already in placement, and prevent future out-of-home placement. You will report to the Program Coordinator and will work in a combination of on-site and remote settings with travel to client's homes required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide home and community services to the identified youth and their caregiver as prescribed in the treatment plan for those enrolled in our Family Preservation Services.
- Educate parents and their child in a variety of social-emotional and parenting skills such as communication, discipline, anger management, emotional regulation, attunement, caregiver affect management, decision making, problem-solving, social skill building, budgeting, family and home organization, behavioral management, etc.
- Maintain a caseload of three children.
- Complete and maintain appropriate case records through the completion of intake, assessments, progress notes, reports, etc. following agency, county, and state policy and funding requirements.
- Participate in the comprehensive assessment and creation of the treatment plan for assigned cases to determine and address service needs and ensure the provision of regular treatment plan meetings and service plan reviews.
- Provide liaison contact with collateral resources such as referring agencies, schools, family courts, and other agency personnel serving on behalf of a child and family as it relates to their treatment.
- You will work Monday through Friday with a flexible schedule that includes evenings and a rotating on-call schedule.
Requirements and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field;
- Experience working with at-risk youth and families;
- Home and community-based experience is a plus.

As a Residential Program Manager, you will manage and oversee child care and milieu activities across the residential system, promoting a therapeutic environment that supports active permanency planning and work. You will report to the Residential Executive Program Director and will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor Residential Program schedules to ensure a balance of experienced staff across shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Northern Rivers Family of Services seeks a leader for the Youth ACT Crisis Response program in Schenectady, NY. Seeking an experienced professional who will develop and supervise a multi-disciplinary team that provides services to youth and families with the highest level of need in the community. The over-arching goals of the program are to prevent out-of-home placement, in-patient hospitalization, and involvement with the child welfare system by expanding services to youth ages 10 to 21 with significant psychiatric needs, who are at risk of institutional level of care, and who require intensive interventions to support the child and family’s complex needs.
The Director will also have the opportunity to develop their team’s skills to maximize their impact on the individuals and communities the Youth ACT program serves while also providing clinical and administrative oversight to the program in collaboration with the NYS OMH and NRFS leadership.

Per Diem Clinician, Permanency Resource Center (PRC)
As a Per Diem Clinician, you will provide trauma-informed family therapy, child therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention as indicated to individuals, families and groups in a Permanency Resource Center. This can include outpatient individual or family therapy, group therapy, consultation to caregivers, and support to case managers. Work is designed to be short-term but will follow the needs of the family as written in their service plan. You will be assigned between 2 and 15 cases. Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of youth and families struggling with behavioral health issues? Do you want to develop and supervise your own team and mentor your staff to improve their clinical skills? As the Team Lead of Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI), you will provide clinical supervision, support, and mentorship to your team to help them change lives. The HBCI team provides short-term (up to 6 weeks), intensive intervention to youth and families who are in crisis. We work with parents and caregivers to help them help their children. The short-term format means the work is fast-paced and outcome oriented, which means you and your team will produce meaningful outcomes in a short period of time. You will report to the Chief of Crisis Services and work on-site with travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical supervision to the team and be responsible for allocation of staff time; provide training and ensure all team members are kept informed of issues.
- Monitor caseload size and coordinate program intakes and discharges.
- Create rotating call schedule for after-hours / weekend coverage by team members.
- Provide education and outreach to the community about HBCI at Northern Rivers; philosophy, program outcomes, theoretical background etc.
- Develop collaborative relationships with other agencies, schools, hospitals, primary care providers, and local government agencies to help meet the needs of this population so they can achieve and maintain their independence.

- Promote safety of the child, family, and community in the delivery of crisis intervention services.
- Assist primary clinicians to conduct comprehensive assessment of family strengths, values, skills, problems, need and barriers to goal attainment while developing a positive working relationship with the families.
- Collaborate and advocate with formal and information community resources and systems that impact family while teaching family members to advocate for themselves and prepare them for transition and service closure.
Requirements and Education:
- Requires a Master’s degree and at least one year of progressively responsible related experience. Experience in a home-based and/or crisis intervention services program. Candidates with training in the Homebuilder model of crisis intervention are preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY
Works closely with Teachers in the management of a preschool classroom by providing quality care to ages 3-5 in accordance with Agency philosophy, program performance standards and curriculum guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use daily routines and observations to meet the strengths and needs of children
- Work as a team member to facilitate the programs curriculum, procedures and philosophy.

Description
As a Coordinator of Short-term Services, you will be the face of Parsons at Schenectady Department of Children and Families and will collaborate with this department, while supervising Family Support Workers to reach positive outcomes for referred families. The Parsons Short-term Services Program is an intensive case-management service designed to rapidly resolve the concrete and referral needs of families entering the Child Welfare System. By resolving these issues within 90 days of admission, families are at a reduced risk for continued involvement in the child welfare system. You will report to the Senior Director of Prevention Services and you will work in a hybrid model with community-based travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise program staff and provide ongoing training and support.
- Coordinate policy and program development with other Northern Rivers Prevention Program supervisors and director.
- Collect and maintain program data, on a monthly and annual basis.
- Participate in program and agency committees.
- Carry direct practice cases, as indicated.
- Provide service consultation to community agencies
- Complete monthly billing, monthly report and annual reports.
- Provide administrative and supportive supervision of four staff, while promoting program philosophy.
- Assist staff in meeting contractual requirements regarding client contact, timeliness of case work activity, service plan development, and progress note completion.
- Participate in the interviewing, selection and training of new staff.
Requirements and Education:
- A Bachelor's degree is required, with four years of experience in social services or equivalent experience required.
- Ability to work some early evening hours.
- Must have a valid NYS driver's license and a reliable and safe vehicle.

Description
As a Greenhouse Coordinator, you will development and implementation of the botanical classroom instructional plans for students. You will report to the Transition Learning Coordinator and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Provide subject area instruction (Green house and plan based botanical) that provides students with appropriate level lessons and age experiences.
- Develop and implement instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various ability levels grades 8 -12.
- Provide leadership in the school for promoting green house and gardening activities and experiences for students. Work with teachers to encourage classroom, small group, and individual activities, projects, and events.
- Coordinate the selection, ordering, and management of materials and equipment for the greenhouse and greenhouse related activities in conjunction with the school principal.
- Collect and organize program data for grant proposals and reports and assists in writing grants.
- Assist classroom staff with crisis prevention and intervention techniques; assist classroom staff with de-escalation techniques with appropriate; teach students appropriate behavior strategies.
- Represent the greenhouse and gardens at relevant conferences, community events andnetworking opportunities. Conduct workshops, tastings, classroom activities and garden clubs.
- Manage and coordinate the safety and well-being of students through the use of established classroom and schoolwide processes and procedures; supervise classroom staff in implementing these with their work with students throughout the building.
- Follow school and agency procedures and policies for reporting incidents. This includes behavior incident reports (IR) and incidents such as child/sexual abuse, substance abuse, harassment, bullying, and violence.
- Establish relationships with parents and family members to create a partnership around student treatment, student behavior, and academic progress.
- Participate in classroom grade level, and behavior/treatment meetings as well as professional training and development sessions (e.g. TCI, CPR, emergency procedures and other agency requirements.
- Follow all Agency policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations pertaining to our school and students.
- Facilitate partnership between the greenhouse activities and gardens through home and school education programs by coordinating community workshops, recruiting home garden volunteers.
- Work with other teachers, clinicians, administrators, medical staff and other school staff to provide integrated support, assistance, and treatment to students.
- Assist with supervision of school-to-work program activities as needed.
Requirements and Education:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or other related field with experience with greenhouse operation.
- Prefer experience teaching in a greenhouse environment.
